About Our Business
Thanks for stopping by!  My name is Diane Mitchell and just like a lot of you, I've always had a love of jewelry.   I
started thinking about making jewelry when I had a very expensive turquoise bracelet break.  I started looking at
it, and thought, "I can do that!".  So, I went to craft stores and bought some jewelry magazines.  Then one of my
best friends wanted a bone choker for his birthday.  He wore it, and by the end of the weekend, I had 25 orders.
My boyfriend at the time, now my  husband Mike, liked the look, but didn't like chokers.  So, I made his a single
strand bone necklace.  That led to more orders.
I saw a ring in a jewelry magazine in January 2005 and fell in
Love with wire!  It amazed me!  I had already
formed a turquoise necklace for myself (which you can see on the gallery page), but I had no idea the different
details you could make.  I started researching it and looked at everything I could find.  Well, I tried (and I stress
tried) to make a ring.  I finally took some classes and after 6 months, finally got it right.   This quickly turned from
a hobby into a business.  But not just any business, a passion bordering on obsession!  I'm still amazed and
awed by what can be made with wire.
Wire sculpted jewelry is an ancient art form dating back to 1400 to 1500 B.C.  They have found wire jewelry in the
ancient tombs of Egypt.  Some finds have dated back 5,000 years.   No soldering, firing, glue or machinery is
used in making a piece.   Just hand tools, pliers, and the skill of your hands.

Come join the passion, the piece of history, the unusual, the adornment that calls to you!
